Francis and James’ wedding was one of those days that felt like it belonged in a timeless love story — soft light, tender moments, and a celebration full of heart.
Set against the elegant backdrop of Hillstone St Lucia, their day was a perfect blend of sophistication and intimacy, surrounded by their dearest friends and family. As photographers, we were honoured to capture every laugh, every look, and every unscripted moment in between.
The morning began with a sense of calm excitement. While Francis got ready with her sisters, the team at Blush’d Brides worked their magic on hair and makeup, creating a relaxed and joyful energy. Nearby, James was preparing with quiet anticipation.
Their ceremony felt like something out of a dream. The courtyard garden space at Hillstone was transformed by the stunning work of Carissa from Emundah Events. Lush, romantic florals hung delicately from the arbour and surrounding cane baskets, while Francis’ bouquet brought a softness and elegance that tied everything together perfectly.
After their heartfelt vows, we wandered the beautiful Hillstone grounds together, capturing golden hour portraits as the sun dipped low.
As the sky faded to dusk, the reception came alive. The Baker Boys Band brought soul and energy to the evening, with live music that had everyone up and dancing. From heartfelt speeches to unfiltered dance floor joy, it was one of those nights you never want to end.
Their wedding cake by Petite Crumb was a delicate and delicious centrepiece — refined, elegant, and thoughtfully crafted. Every element of the day was beautifully considered.
What we’ll remember most, though, are the quiet moments — the way James would reach for Francis’ hand, the way they looked at each other when no one else was watching, the comfort of their connection. It’s those unspoken moments that we love to capture most of all.
