“Extended Family” Heirloom Portrait Photography Session

Extended Family Photography Session’s are one of my favourite things to capture. There is something so special about a family coming together, a lot of the time I get to capture the love between families that may have not seen each other in a while. For this particular session, family had traveled overseas and from afar to come together for a family catch up and thought it was a great opportunity to get some family photographs. My approach to capturing family photography is organic, natural and light filled. My work represents your special moments in a style that is timeless and classic.

Extended Family Sessions can be a lot of fun! Even though there can be a variety in age gaps, it’s beautiful see the bond and connection that a family has. I like to keep these sessions light-hearted, organic and above all fun for all the family. Lots of giggles and warm hugs. Before the session I make sure that I get to know my clients by having them complete our questionnaire. Prior to the day I organise a priority list of who needs to have photos with who, any must haves and then map a plan with the location of choice. So our Extended Family sessions are always thoughtfully crafted and composed on the day.

Once you have secured your portrait session we will answer a few common questions that you may have and email you our in house guides. Our guides cover the finer details like "What should we all wear?" and “How to pick the perfect location” and we also provide a few tips on how to be prepared on the day for a Extended Families Portrait Session.

As a Brisbane Based, family photographer, I want you to look up at your photographs up on the walls of your home and spend every moment possible loving all of those precious memories from that moment in time and then you can look back on them over and over again in the future.  Photographed below is our Alexandra and her beautiful extended family.
